A two-plate "Wimshurst" pattern electrostatic induction machine, unsigned . It has a mahogany wood base of the box type. The contra-rotating glass plates are varnished and fitted with copper conductors they are driven by leather belts. The brass inductor combs are mounted on top of the Leyden jars on the right side of the of the machine, and by a hard rubber vertical rod on the left. The over all dimensions are 22 1/2 " W x 8 1/2" D x 26" H to the discharge balls. The glass plates are 18" diameter.
