Here is a good question to ask  a physicist would the universe be black with out gravity ? What would electric and magnetic forces do to  our  universe without  gravity? One would suppose that the science fiction gang has already told that story.  Its also an interesting question to ask a science class

The important thing is the universe doesn't care  but it sure would be different for us.

With out our imaginations, the driving force of science, our world would be extraordinarily different to live in  no tools  etc. nothing.

So why don't you and I take care of our science and not let  the other profession's deny it from us.
