Close up view of the thermometer Scale

This is going to be a tricky shot, the mercury column is very tiny and fairly hard to see.

It may be desirable to alternate between bulb and thermometer scale as it goes from solid to liquid.

It further might be advisable to get in closer with the camera. Perhaps heating  the thermometer in a separate fixture  with   the camera scanning the column of mercury as it climbs up the scale to the magic temperature.

 With drums rolling in the back ground of course.
