Polarimeter  Julian Project

The three photos on the right show the apparatus being used. The operator looks into the instrument while rotating the polarizer shown in the center photo to get the darkest image with the sample in and out of the polarimeter. The operator subtracts these two  angles. This number is related to the polarization and  concentration of the sample. The photo on the left show the sample holder.

Action; filling the sample holder, reading, recording the polarization angle, and calculating the results.
